Dr. Jean Paul Brutus – Hand plastic surgery expert witness impairment evaluator

I provide expert medical-legal consulting for cases involving malpractice in hand and plastic surgery, as well as impairment assessments for workplace (CNESST) and auto injuries (SAAQ).

 

In addition to expert witness services, I assist workers and their treating physicians by performing Medical Evaluation Reports (REM – Rapport d’Évaluation Médicale) to assess Anatomical and Physiological Deficit (DAP – Déficit Anatomo-Physiologique) and functional limitations. These reports are essential for closing CNESST cases, securing compensation, and facilitating return-to-work planning, yet many workers struggle to find a surgeon willing to perform them.

 

I offer independent, evidence-based medical opinions to assist lawyers, insurers, regulatory bodies, and workers in complex cases.

Note: Few plastic and orthopedic surgeons provide these assessments, making it difficult for workers to obtain them. I offer these reports to ensure workers receive the medical documentation they need to move forward.
